Do you have group exercise classes? Can my child attend group exercise?

Group exercise classes are offered seven days a week at various times. The current schedule & class descriptions are available online or at the front desk. You can get to know our instructors HERE. Juniors must be at least 16 years of age to take classes, unless otherwise specified. No food or drinks are allowed on the Group Exercise floor or equipment. Plastic water bottles are allowed.

Proper workout attire is mandatory, i.e. gym shoes and shirts (no street clothes or swimming attire) must be worn at all times. Members may be asked to leave if not following the proper dress code.

Do I need to reserve a spot for the group exercise classes?

The only group exercise classes that require a reservation are Cycle ( Spin) Classes* and BodyPump*.

All other group exercise classes are open and do not require a reservation.


Can my child use the gym?

Children and juniors under the age of 15 are not allowed in the Fitness Center unless they have completed the Tip Top Teen program and have been issued a yellow workout card. These cards must be carried with the teens at all times in the fitness center. This program is open to members ages 9 -15. Please see any of our Fitness Trainers or Front Desk Staff for information.

This does not apply to Group Exercise Classes.

Can I get personal training?

Professional one-on-one and small group instruction is available in the Fitness Center for all age groups. Hour and half hour sessions are available for an additional cost. For rates and availability, contact the Fitness Center Supervisor. Outside trainers are not permitted. All training must be completed by Del Norte employees.

We also offer Allegro Reformer Personal Training. Following the Pilates method of teaching, the reformer personal training uses specialized equipment to help sculpt and tone your body. Private and semi-private sessions are available. For more information and pricing, please contact the Front Desk Staff. The Pilates Room is located just off of the Group Exercise Room.

What is the dress code for the gym/group exercise?

Fitness Center Dress Code

Proper workout attire is mandatory, i.e. gym shoes and shirts (no street clothes or swimming attire) must be worn at all times. Members may be asked to leave if not following the proper dress code.


What else do I need to know about using the gym?

FITNESS FACILITY GENERAL RULES

1. Initial instruction about facility equipment is offered through the Fit for Life Program. Personal Training is available at an extra charge.

2. No food is to be consumed or brought into the fitness area. No drinks other than water are allowed in the fitness area.

3. Please use disinfectant wipes (provided for you by the club) to wipe off all equipment after each use.

4. Please do not use equipment unless instructed on its use.

5. Cardiovascular equipment is limited. There is a 30-minute limit when people are waiting. Please be courteous.

6. Children and juniors under 16 years old are not allowed in the Fitness Center unless they have completed the Tip Top Teen program and have been issued a yellow workout card. The card must be carried by the child/junior at all times while working out in the fitness center. This program is open to members ages 9 -15. Children ages 9-11 must have direct parental supervision in the Fitness Center at all times. Children ages 12-15 years old must have a parent/guardian on site. 7. Please do not slam or drop the weights.

8. Please re-rack weights in their proper place after you use them.

9. Inappropriate or offensive behavior or language of any kind will not be tolerated in the Fitness Center. Any inappropriate behavior should be reported to the staff immediately.

10. Please refrain from wearing attire with inappropriate language or pictures.

11. Please report all injuries or any other problem to the Fitness Trainer or Front Desk Staff.

12. Please refrain from using cell phones while inside the fitness center. If you need to make or take a call, please exit the center, complete your call, and return to your workout.

13. Use of anabolic steroids poses a serious risk to your health. Use of such drugs at Del Norte will not be condoned. Members engaging in such drugs may have their membership privileges permanently revoked.
