Can my child be at Del Norte without me?
While Del Norte is family-friendly, there are rules that apply to our children and junior members.
- Children and juniors under 16 may not be on our campus unattended and must be accompanied by their parent/guardian at all times, unless participating in a club-sponsored activity or program (e.g., swim team, tennis lesson, Tip Top Teen).
- Children and juniors under the age of 16 are not allowed in the fitness center until they have completed the Tip Top Teen program and have been issued a yellow workout card. These cards must be carried by the children at all times in the fitness center. This program is open to members ages 9–15. Please see any of our Fitness Trainers or Front Desk Staff for information.
- Only when a lifeguard is on duty, children ages 7–15 may be in the pool without their parent/guardian providing direct supervision; however, the child must be able to swim safely alone and/or stand in the pool alone. Children who cannot stand or swim safely must be under direct supervision by their parent/guardian at all times.
- When there is no lifeguard present, children under 16 must have a parent/guardian providing direct supervision while they are in the pool.
- Children ages 6 and under must have direct supervision by a parent/guardian at all times.
- For children and juniors in all Del Norte programs: To maintain a high-quality environment for our children and youth programs, we require all participants to follow club rules and staff guidance. Should a child struggle with these standards, a behavior report will be issued to the parent or guardian. If a student receives multiple reports, we may need to review their continued participation in the program, including potential suspension.
Can my child use the gym?
Children/juniors under 16 are allowed in the fitness center only if they complete the Tip Top Teens training and carry a yellow workout card (program open to ages 9–15). Children ages 9–11 require direct parental supervision. Ages 12–15 require a parent or guardian on site.
Please see any of our fitness trainers or front desk staff for information.
Is childcare included in my membership?
Childcare is offered at no charge to children who are included on their parent/guardian’s membership.
- Children between the ages of 5 months and 6 years can be dropped off in the childcare room adjacent to the wading pool.
- Children 6-12 can be dropped off at the kids’ loft at the rear of the property.
Parents are required to remain in the club and observe a 2-hour time limit while their children are checked in. Please do not bring sick children into the club facilities.
If you bring a bottle or diapers, please make sure that they are labeled.
How do I check in to the club?
Everyone must check in at the front desk before proceeding beyond the entry gate. If accompanying a child to a lesson, a child’s guardian needs to sign a waiver and release of liability. No guest fee is required however if they are only observing the lesson.
Can I bring a guest?
The guest fee is $10 per visit for an adult and $8 per visit for a child (age 15 and under) when accompanied by a member. Children under the age of one year will not be charged a guest fee. All guests must be checked in and the fee paid upon arrival. Each guest must sign an electronic liability waiver prior to entering the facilities. Guests must also be accompanied by their member host at all times.
Members are expected to familiarize their guests with the rules. Unruly or disruptive guests will be asked to leave without a refund of paid guest fee. Guests 17 years of age or under must be accompanied by a sponsoring member age 18 or older. The sponsoring member must be present at check-in and remain on-site at all times.
