Straightforward answers to common questions.
Is childcare included?
Yes. Childcare is available at no charge for children included on the parent/guardian’s membership.
Does my child need special shoes?
Any athletic non-marking sole is ok (almost all running/athletic shoes). There are tennis-specific “court shoes,” which are a much better choice, but not necessary if just starting.
Does my child need a tennis racket?
No. If your child does not have a racket, we can provide them with a loaner for class. Before purchasing one, it is best for us to evaluate your child for the correct size.
Is there a ball machine?
Yes, we have tennis and pickleball ball machines that are free to use on courts 5 or 6. First-time users can ask for a quick tutorial with our Tennis & Pickleball Director, Joseph Ballard. Also see our ball machine instructional pages for tennis and pickleball. The tennis ball machine is located in the shed on court 6. The pickleball ball machine is located in the shed on court 5. Please ask for either key at the front desk.
Are tennis classes, private lessons & drop-in play open to non-members?
