General
Can my child be at Del Norte without me?
While Del Norte is family-friendly, there are rules that apply to our children and junior members.
- Children and juniors under 16 may not be on our campus unattended and must be accompanied by their parent/guardian at all times, unless participating in a club-sponsored activity or program (e.g., swim team, tennis lesson, Tip Top Teen).
- Children and juniors under the age of 16 are not allowed in the fitness center until they have completed the Tip Top Teen program and have been issued a yellow workout card. These cards must be carried by the children at all times in the fitness center. This program is open to members ages 9–15. Please see any of our Fitness Trainers or Front Desk Staff for information.
- Only when a lifeguard is on duty, children ages 7–15 may be in the pool without their parent/guardian providing direct supervision; however, the child must be able to swim safely alone and/or stand in the pool alone. Children who cannot stand or swim safely must be under direct supervision by their parent/guardian at all times.
- When there is no lifeguard present, children under 16 must have a parent/guardian providing direct supervision while they are in the pool.
- Children ages 6 and under must have direct supervision by a parent/guardian at all times.
- For children and juniors in all Del Norte programs: To maintain a high-quality environment for our children and youth programs, we require all participants to follow club rules and staff guidance. Should a child struggle with these standards, a behavior report will be issued to the parent or guardian. If a student receives multiple reports, we may need to review their continued participation in the program, including potential suspension.
