Beth Gardner

Aquatics Director/Junior Swim Coach

Beth has been involved in, working with and teaching athletics since she can remember. She launched her coaching career at the young age of 14 where she worked as a gymnastics and dance instructor. From there she moved to working with youth in summer daycamps and finally onto swimming with her very first swim coaching job in 1993. She has enjoyed working for small teams to very large; she has been blessed to work with the seasonal teams Manor Rec., Glen Oaks Sea Lions, Broadstone Barracudas, High School Swimming and Water Polo (Del Campo) and the USA Swimming teams of Swim Sacramento, California Capital Aquatics and most recently she owned and operated her own USA Swim Team and Swim School Niuhi Aquatics in Hawaii.

Beth is married to Ethan (who is also a swim coach) and they have been coaching together on and off for the last 17+ years and have 5 beautiful children together (4 girls and a boy) and are proud to say that they are a true ‘swim’ family.

Her passion for swimming and teaching is evident from the moment you meet her, with her enthusiastic, encouraging and positive, technique of teaching and coaching. She reinforces the skills of swimming through drill work, and is a master at fine-tuning and critiquing the little things that make a swimmer not only more proficient but what makes them excel and operate at their optimal level.

Beth is passionate about ALL levels of swimming from very beginners and the fearful swimmer, to advanced state qualifiers and all ages from tiny babies to adults. Having a passion for swimming doesn’t just stop at swimming laps back and forth, Beth loves anything in the water and even sports that don’t involve gills and holding your breath.
