Arnie has been a USPTA Professional for over 25 years and is the former Tennis Director for Park Terrace Swim and Tennis Club. He has been a USTA Area Training Center Coach and has worked with top junior players in Northern California and considers himself lucky to have had the opportunity to coach and compete in countries like Holland, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and China, and says, “Tennis has opened doors that I never could have imagined, I wish everyone to have similar experiences I have been lucky to have.” Arnie has achieved a # 8 National Ranking and an ITF World Ranking of # 26 in the Men’s 40 Senior Division. “My best surfaces are grass and clay, so if you ever want to play on them, count me in!”
Arnie has taught players from 4 to 84 and believes everyone can learn to have fun and play tennis no matter what the age or when you begin. “Tennis teaches us I important life skills, just as all sports do, but is an excellent sport for building hand-eye coordination, footwork, and focus.
Arnie also has a degree in Architecture and loves to talk about architecture as well as design, so don’t be afraid to bring it up. He has a wonderful golden retriever named Dash who loves to chase tennis balls and talk to you when he’s not chasing tennis balls.
